The Deliverers by Jeremy Deller - 1st January - 7th January
The Lindisfarne Gospels exhibition features a new work by Turner-Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller, who has also acted as an artistic advisor for the show. The Deliverers is a film which explores the journey of the Lindisfarne Gospels from London to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Spirituality offers the possibility to connect with our inner selves through mindful action. The artworks here have been chosen to represent the stages of life, belief, and realisation. During research for this display, L-INK group members explored current events as well as individual and communal understandings of these ideas. They have reflected upon their personal unique perspectives, making connections between spirituality, society and nature.

These are Our Treasures - 1st January - 11th February
This display features precious objects belonging to people of the North East. The objects and their related stories were gathered through a series of workshops in libraries with participants across the region, from Middlesbrough to Northumberland, and a public open call throughout the spring of 2022, when artist Ruth Ewan asked the question, ‘What do you treasure?’

From Petticoats to the Front Line - 1st January - 24th February
Today the proportion of women serving in the Army today has never been higher, with women now being able to serve in all combat roles. However, this hasn’t always been the case. This exhibition tells that story, from the first woman to join the regiment in the 1780s to the more recent recruits of The Light Dragoons.

Visions of Ancient Egypt - 29th January - 29th April
This exhibition examines the enduring appeal of ancient Egypt in art and design, exploring how ancient Egypt has been re-imagined across time to suit different ambitions and to construct changing identities. It uses two important historic events as a point of departure – Jean-François Champollion’s 1822 decipherment of hieroglyphs and Howard Carter’s 1922 discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
