This Autumn come and see the magical family show… Meggie Magicia. It’s about a girl, magic tricks, and a penguin – what could possibly go wrong?! There’ll be surprises and magic and a song, to bring you some joy.
Over the past four years I have had six short plays performed in the North East, and I’m excited to say that this is my debut family show. Suitable for 6 years plus. It will be on at Alphabetti Theatre, in Newcastle, at 1pm from Tues 26 Oct to Sat 13 Nov.
Alphabetti believes that great art should be for everyone, not just those who can afford it, so every performance will be ticketed at “Pay What You Feel” on the day. However, reserving seats is essential, and due to social distancing there is limited availability… tickets were released on Mon 2 Aug, so get booking now to avoid disappointment.
Alphabetti is tucked away by the Discovery Museum on St James’ Boulevard. It is a great little indie theatre. Last year the theatre produced Rocket Girl, and Love From – both fab family shows – my great nieces loved them. And I’m chuffed to bits that my show will be part of their new ‘21-‘22 season. To book and for more information go to www.alphabettitheatre.co.uk
Likewise go to their website for information about the other shows in the season – there’s solo shows, gig theatre, plays, and another family show – please check the website for age suitability. Most shows have a captioned or audio-described performance, and all are relaxed performances.
If you have never been to Alphabetti then you’re in for a treat – it is very welcoming and there’s a bar/café too, plus you could maybe fit in a visit to the Discovery Museum or the Life Science Centre too. A great day out in the October half-term holiday. There’s plenty of parking nearby, and there’s metro stations close to the theatre at Central Station or St James’ Park.
I look forward to entertaining you and your family, and introducing you to the quirky Meggie Magicia, and take you on her journey as she tries to follow in her magician Dad’s footsteps.
