There are some wonderful spas in North East England and we really are lucky to have access to some of the best. However today's post is going to focus on spa days based in Newcastle (and suburbs).
There actually aren't that many to choose from in and around the city but there are some bargains with one option being available for just £10! Let me know your favourite and if you have tried any of these spas, please share your experience.
Crowne Plaza
Find the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Stephenson Quarter, conveniently located behind Newcastle's Central Station and very easy to get to via public transport or car.
Their Mineral House Spa in the basement is a lovely place to hide away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Facilities include:
- Mineral House Gym
- 10m Swimming Pool
- Steam Room
- Beauty Treatments
- Loungers
- Spa Pool
Malmaison Newcastle The Malmaison Spa on the Quayside does not offer the range of facilities as a regular spa (there is no pool for example) but their mini spa is a nice place to escape the city. Located on Newcastle's Quayside, the spa in the basement of the hotel offers a range of spa packages with a focus on treatments from £69 including lunch. They also offer a pre/post natal spa day. City Baths Newcastle
The Turkish Baths and Spa are due to reopen in Newcastle City Centre after a period of investment and refurbishment. There aren't many details available at the moment but you can sign up here to be kept in the loop.
Hilton NewcastleGateshead
The Spa at Hilton NewcastleGateshead is now managed by LivingWell Health Club. I remember this particular spa always being a popular one on Groupon and I have visited a couple of times over the years. One thing that stands out is the gorgeous views of the River Tyne from the spa.
Facilities include a swimming pool, bubble pool and sauna and a day pass is just £15. Packages are also available including one for £45 per person (based on 2) which includes:
*2 hour spa access
*2 x 30 minute treatments each (choose two treatments from Aromatherapy massage, Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Back, neck & shoulder massage, Facial, Gel manicure, Gel pedicure, Indian head massage)
*A glass of Prosecco
Valid until the end of June. Make sure you read the t&cs Find out more and book here.
