As a family of 5, finding somewhere tasty and cheap for lunch can be a challenge at times so I was delighted to stumble upon Gingerinos Kitchen & their fantastic meal deals on Instagram recently.
Gingerinos is open 11:30am - 9pm Monday-Saturday. It is a small and friendly place offering the chance to sit in or takeaway. They are on Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat too - order online for delivery here.
You will find Gingerinos in the heart of Ouseburn on Stepney Road (see the red dot below). If you turn right under the bridge past Thali Tray opposite Stepney Bank Stables and walk along the road for a few minutes, you will find Gingerinos on the left hand side. Use postcode NE2 1TZ. Park in any of the Ouseburn Car Parks or there is off street parking available too. Usually 40p per hour.
Gingerinos specialise in handmade, authentic, thin & crispy stonebaked pizzas using the highest quality fresh ingredients including San Marzano D.O.P Tomatoes, 00 Pizza Flour and Fiore de Latte Cheese. There are a range of pizzas and cakes to choose from including Vegetarian and Vegan options too.
The atmosphere is super relaxed with easy listening music and a range of seating from benches to old armchairs (although the space is fairly small). On the day of our visit, just one chef was working and serving and he did a canny job keeping things moving. Our pizzas were freshly prepared as we waited with our drinks.
The meal deals here are available Monday-Saturday 11:30am - 4pm. and include either one slice of pizza, one slice of cake and one drink for £5 OR two slices of pizza and a drink for £5. Drinks include Coke/Fanta/Sprite/Ginger Beer and San Pellagrino - basically anything from the fridge.
We are pretty basic and ordered Margherita and Pepperoni - both served on huge platters for us to share. The pizza was so good! A little heavy on the garlic (which I personally like) and very tomatoey (sp??) which is also my personal preference. The only thing we thought was missing were a few dips for our crusts - we would happily pay extra for this.
We didn't try cake on this occasion as we were all about the pizza on this occasion. They look lush though and next time we visit I think I will definitely try the £5 pizza, cake and drink deal.

Ooooh never heard of here and the pizza looks good! What are the carparks like in Ouseburn because we never think to drive! Is it pretty easy to get spaces any time of day?
